I doubt TR got anything but dates. The only fighters they have are Bradley, Crawford, Vargas, Lomo and Rodriguez's belt that Jack or DeGale would be more than happen to take. TR submitted because with the squad the have its better to give in than to fight. Now the only fighters of substance that Haymon doesn't have a route to are Canelo, ggg, Ward (and after the Kov fight they just might) and Kov. The game is won.

Bob Arum filed the lawsuit, the process of Top Rank looking for documents to build their case against Haymon began, Top Rank likely found out that Haymon's representation was looking for documents into building a case against Top Rank, Top Rank saw the trap for what it was, and Top Rank got Haymon's representation to agree with a cease fire (with both parties supposed to now act that the lawsuit never happened).
Haymon goes his way, Arum goes his way.Comment

Why is the assumption that Arum was able to leverage this sham lawsuit into another bite at the Mayweather-Pacquiao apple (with Mayweather being done, and Pacquiao just being elected to an actually serious legislative position, the fact that folks think the fight is even a possibility in beyond me)?
In Arum's entire history, when has he ever come out on top of a situation an not boasted about it (non-disclosure nonsense aside, Arum, a Harvard educated lawyer, would flirt with the edges of that agreement to gloat)?
The reaction to this episode patterns a lot more like the fallout from the Mikey Garcia defeat than any win (the radio silence from Arum is palpable). Arum took another L, from the looks of it.Comment

But why would Haymon do business with Bob Arum? With Pacquiao out of the loop, what assets does Arum have under his Top Rank banner to justify the amount of headaches that he'd have to deal with arguing with Arum about everything? From the outside looking in and reading what i have it seems
1. Bob knew he couldnt win this lawsuit so why waste the money on both sides
2. HBO is backing away from the sport and pouring less and less money into it evident by Crawford/Postol having to be a PPV
3. PBC has the fighters, time slots and networks that Bob craves
4. Bob stable is running dry as we saw in Bradley/Pac 3
IMO i see it as "If you cant beat them, join them"
Which is great for us fans. IF thats what is happening.
Gilberto Ramirez is a nice fighter, but I don't think working with Gilberto Ramirez has enough upside to bother with the *****fit that would come whenever Arum wasn't allowed to get things, all the way his way.
Not unlike Don King, Bob Arum built his business by doing things his way and burning a ton of bridges with everyone.
He's made his bed, so he'll have to lay in it.Comment

Because Mannix was the first to report it and everybody ran with it. But as I've been reading more about it, Pacquiao can't be a full time Senator and fighter. But I really don't care about that part anyway. If it happens it happens.

That's a good point. I heard Robert on a show say Top Rank gave up on the Mikey lawsuit because they knew they were going to lose. The judge was ready to make a decision and TR released Mikey before the decision. He said TR expected Mikey to be like other fighters and go broke. But Robert and his father made sure Mikey didn't make those same mistakes he made and they invested and saved a lot of his money.
But like you mentioned in that thread I posted about this a cpl weeks ago. When PBC started asking about TR documents suddenly TR was ready to settle.Comment

I said to @BobArum, "I thought you wanted to find out where the bodies were buried," and he replied, "Goodbye."
