I totally get what you're saying and you're actually right but the focus need to be on Canelo right now. Lara was a weight class down and Ward was weight class up, this one looks bad because both was basically in the same Division regardless of Canelo was fighting at 155 that is still considered Middleweight

Tom also referenced the "tune ups" Ward's team was talking about needing...i.e. Ward was not ready to fight any time soon. Less than a month before this, Ward gives an interview (Jun 13) claiming GGG is full of excuses (even though Ward's not nearly ready to fight). In a subsequent GGG interview a few days later, Golovkin rebuts Ward and brings up the meeting with HBO and says of Ward..."As a man, you are dead to me." Context and timeline are important.

A few questions I'd like answered from the "GGG ducked Ward folks"...When exactly did Ward make an offer to GGG? What was GGG doing at the time? If you were GGG, would you have signed the contract Ward sent, and if yes, why?...

You don't call out your mandatory, talk tough about how your a tough Aztec warrior willing to take on all comers and then leave your belt at the negotiating table. Canelo got taken to school by Floyd and Kahn pretty much showed that Canelo hasn't gotten any better. That punch saved Canelo's career, if he had lost to Kahn the only option for him was retirement.

Do you understand the thread title or nah? OP asked what is the difference. You can't follow logic? Golovkin mandatory to Canelo's belt in the same weight class. Ward & Golovkin have never been in the same weight class and neither have ever been the others mandatory (obviously). You really can't see the difference here or you just being difficult for the sake of being difficult?

Different divisions. You can't duck a guy that doesn't compete in your weight class. As long as GGG continues to mind his business at MW, he has ducked no one.
