This is not a smart move by canelo. It's a panic move and there are several ways in can backfire.

And instead of relieving pressure to fight GGG, he actually just multiplied the pressure. Now, if he doesn't fight Golovkin next, he is a certified ducker and comparable to Bowe. Being a Mexican Bowe is not a good look.

yup this is what I've been saying he has actually really weakened his stance now as he simply has to agree t the fight or he will be branded a huge ducker that gave up the belt rather than fight GGG.

Golovkin should stick more firmly than ever to the 160 demand now as basically nothing that happens in the negotiations henceforth will change the public opinion if the fight doesn't happen now Canelo will be humiliated after all his big talk in the ring.
