Would WBC banned Canelo for dumping their Middleweight Belt?

    There is no artificial deadline. The deadlines and mandatory challengers were put in place to stop Champions from sitting on their titles and avoiding strong challengers. Sound familiar? One of the problems is the number of sanctioning bodies. Multiple title holders if they want to keep their belts end up fighting a string of mandatories that may not be the most lucrative. Even who are the mandatories in each sanctioning body is subject to politics. If a champion uses the term artificial it's pretty well an admission of ducking. There may be financial reasons but artificial deadlines as a justification means duck.

      They would sanction it and the belt would only be on the line for GGG. So, win or lose, GGG keeps the belt.
