The WBA have said they are going to wait a while to give the K2/GBP negotiations a chance before making a decision on whether to order GGG vs Jacobs.

Imo, the derision and criticism that Canelo is getting from his own fan base over this will force him to fight GGG, whether he wants to or not. We'll see.

The WBA didn't say a while; they said that they'd give Golovkin-Alvarez another week before making their decision; I don't know the WBA rules off of the top of my head, but Jacobs has been in his spot for a while now, and they're likely going to not hold off for hardly any time.

HBO/ESPN are trying to make a stink of things for the moment, but that won't last now; with the belts no longer being an issue, and the talks still continuing on, K2/Golovkin walking away from the fight (whether it be over the weight or even Alvarez offering the 15/85 that he's done for most of his fights, a duck is a duck) and not fighting Daniel Jacobs, choosing instead to fight JS Heiland or some other unknown fighter, the boxing world will continue it's turn on Golovkin and HBO's spin machine won't be able to cover it anymore.
