WBC was trying to force the issue by saying he had to agree to fight in X days. Canelo's like, "bounce that noise...we fight when I SAY we fight."

So he drops the title.

Now, GGG's got two choices. Take the belt and run (which WOULD BE a duck), or accept Caneloweight and whatever other non-Vaseline terms Alvarez can come up with.

It's a brilliant move. Now we get to see if GGG really does want the fight.

No prob, but really who can keep track of who is the champ these days? I only know that because I was one of the 97k suckers buying that David Lemiux match. I respect the "sweet science" but I was tempted to much by a potential phone booth fight with sluggers. Most of my friends are casuals so I thought it would entertaining for them. Not to be though.

as a fan why do you care about their money and fame. Its a more legit fight at 160 than a made up weight class. im a boxing fan, i want the best fights not money fights and mismatches and random weight divisions. Cmon man, Canelo was talking big after KOing a WW and now he shown that he doesnt want to go near ggg
