    thats a fact joe

No, he asked Ward to meet him at 164

Where did GGG ever say he would move up to 168 or down to 154 other than for PPV fights? The only 2 PPV fights he would take at those weights are Floyd and Froch. I don't think HBO ever offered him a Ward PPV at 168. And he said from way way back that he would only drop down in weight for Mayweather

... The fact is that eam GGG eventually sent Ward to win fights with 1-2 big names and come back for a PPV at 168... What Ward did? He went chasing Murdock and Brand... and the commission denied him the Murdock fight, doe... then Ward managed pulled out even from that Brand fight, doe...

Floyd was on a different level than Canelo anyway, and so was Manny.
They were on a different level as far as boxing skills, but Canelo is PPV cash cow now, even though his numbers is sub par.

Unless Canelo fights Golovkin, or another top MW like Lemieux, at 160, to prepare for Golovkin, his days as a cash cow are over. He has pissed off his fans big time by handing his belt over to GGG. Like I said, this a different situation completely from what happened between Floyd and Manny.

            GTFOH Joe !!

They built Golovkin's reputation on this statement.....
            ..... " Gennady can beat anyone from 154-168 ".

At 168, Team Golovkin have mentioned fighting (in order) Chavez, Froch, Degale, Hopkins, Jack, Chudinov, and now..... Ramirez.

They were willing to fight EVERYONE at 168, except Andre Ward.

            GTFOH !

That was one of the most absurd comments that I have ever heard from a supposed professional in my 30+ year involvement with the sport.

And only the very ******est people ran with that.

I say again, only the very ******EST people ran with that weak rubbish.

                ... gotcha again, kid!

the source is here, on this webpage:

Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, has made it absolutely clear that he's not going to bud

(...) If Ward puts together a few good wins and gets the buzz going again, Golovkin's position on the weight might have some wiggle room.

"That's something that would be a discussion amongst the team. And if we all came to the consensus that it was the right thing to do, at that point, then yes [we'd consider budging on the weight]. But right now, as it stands, he has to come to 164 if he wants to fight Gennady" Sanchez said.

                  Canelo is a fraud.

He clearly dodged GGG, but hey, who wouldn't?

I wouldn't want to face GGG either, that guy is a fricken machine man!

LMAO I never said they didn't make that statement

I said that you were a DUMBASS for believing it.

If you truly believe that, you should not be here.

                      Here, enjoy.....

If Golovkin beat Ward he would be the best fighter on the planet and likely the biggest draw in the sport, that would be a HUGE win..... Gennady would get unprecedented exposure..... but far more importantly.... he would gain desperately needed validation.

That is truly a weak, ignorant, (even childish) excuse.

                      Here, read and learn.....

                      In a Ward/Golovkin bout, who is the A-side ?

"Ward is the undefeated wba 168 pound champion who is known in boxing as the best behind Floyd Mayweather Jr. A victory over Golovkin would do nothing for the career of Ward except reestablish him as the number 2 pound for pound officially once again. However, if Golovkin were to pull off a victory over Ward, Golovkin would be catapulted to heights and fame that could only be touched by Mayweather himself. Golovkin would become the WBA super middleweight champion, and instantly become the face of boxing with the retirement of Mayweather looming. Golovkin would then truly become the man to beat, and make him the A-side fighter in negotiations with anyone he faces afterwards. Therefore, in my opinion, Ward is the true A-side.".....
                      http://www.boxing news 24.com/2015/07/ward-vs-ggg-whos-really-the-a-side/

That was a ridiculous excuse to duck Andre Ward, and you were silly to repeat that rubbish to me.
