IBO has been/& is a cancer

NO. You do not sense the real problem correctly.

Whats the real problem? The WBC, WBA, IBF & WBO are the real problematic alphabet groups. They got more power & respect then they should have & have corrupted the sport & what it means to be a champion.

The *problem is that this OVER GOVERANCE has caused the world wide media to SHUT-DOWN on the Sport. I mean....does your newspaper give it ANY effort at all? NO THEY WON'T!
I've been working since March/2007 to "echelon" boxing. We should call everything after the WBO, a "second echelon" and do the value at approx. 5 USA STATES.

But the IBO isn't even relevant, I don't see how they're a cancer, unless you're referring to sanctioning bodies in general. I don't even think most fighters with the IBO title even realize they're champions of the IBO.

I don't see much wrong with the IBO tbh, the fighter makes the belt, not the other way around.

If you have an IBO title and you consistently defend it against top opposition while the WBC champ is fighting bum after bum, whose title is worth more in reality?
