Don't hold your breath mate. Isn't Ward still arguing with HBO about whether he's entitled to another big money tune-up before Krusher?

That could take a long time to sort out. Beterbiev will probably be ready for Kovalev before Ward is.

just be honest, you're worried that Ward can beat Kovalev. I like both fighters so may the best man win. I favor ward but wouldnt be shocked if Kovalev wins. Both are beasts, with different styles.

Beterbiev is a prospect and is wholly average. this is the pros, not amatuers. He hasnt fought anyone with a pulse and the ones with a name were washed up and recieved thorough beatings before he got to them.

... meanwhile, at the castle, Ward can't even pronounce "Kovalev" with a loud voice...

Ward is indeed quite talented, as he should be. Same trainer I believe since he was a kid basically, has had stacks of fights to work pretty much every conceivable angle out with his game. He just has 2 problems... inactivity, AND Kovalev. Ward has always been able to rely on his superior boxing ability to win fights against tough odds. Well, now he's a bit rusty, timing off, and he's up against someone at or nearly at his level of boxing... AND the most power he's ever faced. This is indeed a 50-50 fight. Ironically, it will sell the bulk of tickets and PPVs because of Kovalev, not Ward. Still, a great fight.

Too many people in the States and at this site are talking like those things have already happened though.
Of course he has no shout being p4p at the moment but if he beats kovalev then I think he along with chocalito deserves top p4p in the world....beating kovalev is a real statement ...

how can someone who was inactive 2 years be expected to make a weight he hadnt made in years but he'd fight everyone else at 168?
Nice try ... but Loeffler never asked for a catchweight after he got that bullshit "offer" from Ward.

He told Andre if he wanted the fight on his terms ... 168 and 50/50, he should come back to them in 2017 after he'd had his tune-ups and Golovkin had finished his business at 160.

sit your simple azz down. Dude landed less than 20% and barely hit him clean with a power punch. stop reaching

of course his timing wasnt where he wants it to be, but do people criticize anyone else's defense when they have an opponent land 15%

                only on NSB

WHY IS GGG TOP 3 P4P AND HE NEVER BEAT ANYONE ELITE? NOT 4 YEARS AGO OR 4 MONTHS AGO
The same people will say ggg's defense is underrated after he get hit with 27-30% of shots on average.
