Floyd better MMA promoter than boxing promoter?

      That'd be a crazy story

In a sense, without the condescension, yes.

UFC rules aside, it'd be no different than Under Armor sponsoring Canelo or Jordan brand picking up Golovkin. Not being able to rock the TMT gear directly at UFC events will hurt, but there's more to Jones than just his UFC appearances.

Jon "Bones" Jones is clearly the UFC's best fighter, looks to be unbeatable at 205, and (with the frame that he has and only being 28 years old), may end up going to heavyweight and dominating that scene as well.

With Jon Jones rehabbing his image, floating around to radio stations, tv appearances, high school kids services, promotional appearances not for UFC, etc, rocking the TMT gear isn't going to hurt either party.

              This.

With Jones' rep taking a hit with all his nutty **** in recent years he's a incredible name you can probably get for cheap although with some risk to it if he robs a 7-11 of a philly cheesesteak & a Fanta at 2am wearing a TMT ensemble or whatever at gunpoint. Til then throwing some TMT gear on him don't seem like a bad decision with a guy getting the attention Jones gets by the media. Floyd getting TMT gear in the MMA world & one of the notable brands there would probably add some nice value to the TMT brand.

This is potentially big news because UFC is apparently up for sale, although Dana White denies it.

If UFC is sold the dynamics could change and having someone like Floyd behind an MMA fighter could be helpful.
