He must know he is going to get smashed to bits then.

    Even so.......take it.

My Nan would fight Kell Brook for that.

1.6mil is a regular check from haymon and you get to fight in the states.....16m to go to Uk and risk your belt and future paydays in a country known for shady decisions and 8 counts are really 10 idk

This is what happens when guys like Crawford gets $1.21 mil for fighting a cab driver in Lundy. And in his home country, not UK. Could be worse if Vargas is a Haymon fighter when you think about Garcia wanted $5 mil in the Matthysse fight; there's Quillin wanting $5 -10 mil in a GGG fight.

More robberies happen in the states than they do in the UK.

It's fast become an easy excuse not to fight a UK fighter on their soil.

Americans are allergic to fighting overseas these days.

                1. He's not with Haymon
                2. I don't see people waiting on the edge of their seats for the next Vargas fight.
                3. This is a unification. A win over Brook would immediately make him a major player in the welterweight division and could get that rematch with Bradley.

Is this the massive payday Hearn was talking about? I thought it would be closer to 5m...

It says in the article he got 3 times as much to fight Tim

No. This is 3x's what he made against Bradley. He made $600,000 against Bradley. It's a welterweight unification so I would rate it as a big fight.
