I thought Cotto only had 1 fight left on his Roc Nation contract? Maybe not. If he does I wouldn't mind seeing him fight under the pbc banner after this. Haymon has a shyt load of 154 fighters.

It Won't Be GGG; It Should Be Kell Brook or Tim Bradley

Cotto may get Marquez which won't go well for Juan. It'll look like "Part 2, Sergio Martinez". He's not draining GGG down in weight. Bradley or Brook would make for great fights with Cotto. Bradley said yesterday he wants the biggest names. Brook said after Bizier if he doesn't get the big blockbuster fight this year, he'd retire. Please not a 42 yr old injury prone Marquez.

******. Rios pathetic quit vs Bradley does not earn him Cotto. Rios is also training as is Mike Alvarado another train wreck and there's talk of a 4th fight between them.

I'd rather see khan-garcia and cotto-bradley, but cotto khan is much bigger money fight. The only obstacle I see is the Roc Nation/Haymon feud, but Khan seems to have more ability to cross over than most Haymon fighters.

Marquez has been "training to see if his knee is ok" for at least a year, he should just call it a day.

Khan just proves that he isn't a ppv draw.

                  Canelo vs khan did 450k.

Canelo was doing 350k on his own

Don't understand why we can't just be told this? If it is a big name then why not hold the press and shock us? If it is an opponent we all hardly agree is worthwhile then telling us to hang fire before the release of the name will make them look a little ******.

I can't think who it could be but I don't imagine he will take on a relevant man. He did in his last fight, a fight in which he lost, and by the time he steps back in it will be almost a year passed...I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

In my opinion, it's quite obvious who it is. I'm surprised there's so much speculation; it's Marquez. And, I personally consider this fight even better than the one versus Canelo. I always thought, in the past, that Cotto would just move on with his career, if he felt robbed in the eventual Canelo outcome; now, it actually happened, and he looks to be doing just what I thought he would do.

The reason this fight's better than fighting Canelo is because both Cotto and Marquez are legendary counter-punchers, when they want to be. Canelo can be a good counter-puncher himself, but Cotto was levels above him in that department, as the fight showed. People can say Canelo "won" the decision, but I don't think anyone can deny Cotto won the boxing match.

Imagine Cotto and Marquez trying to outsmart each other; there's just so many variables to it. And the big selling point is that, since both are lethal punchers, one mistake could leave either man in serious trouble. A war would begin. It has classic written all over it.

Essentially, this is an all-action match in which even the counter-punching portions will be filled with excitement. I can't see this ending in any other way besides a knockout, and fans will be analyzing the vast array of tactics used by both fighters for years to come.
