I can't blame Wilder's manager for taking that stance. In fact its odder that the WBC hasn't taken a stronger stance with their "Clean Boxing" angle they're trying to push. Seems like you wanna go hard with this decision, not play it out or pretend to play it out whatever the case is. Povetkin got popped. Whatever the circumstances don't really matter, or shouldn't matter, as to this fight & his mandatory status. Fight should be canceled & mandatory position lost. Give the mandatory to Pulev or someone else.

Why is DiBella celebrating? He just lost whatever his cut was of the $5M or whatever Wilder was getting is & has no promoter ties to Wilder that I'm aware of so there is no guarantee he'll be promoting his future fights. Or can someone correct me about DiBella's & Wilder's relationship?

Lets make up our mind is this substance supposed to be in your body for months once you've taken it or can it come & go as it pleases? Seems like depending on the scenario being pushed in a specific remark it can be either or.

Well I'm over it. My mind is firmly focused on Crawford-Postol in July. There's Thurman-Porter in June as well.

Wilder is class act, he is funny too, USA should get behind him, he has a lot of physical talent and is a marketers dream really with his personality
He should tighten up one or two weaknesses but he could beat Povetkins ass if he kept his range
Tuscaloosa represent he does em proud

Seems no matter what Wilder will never fight a real fighter, always some reason. Oh well some people always get a free pass

When he fought Perez, it was legal. And there was supposedly only a trace amount in his system. Not like he was a fully blown cheat. Try getting your facts straight.

Anybody who defends this needs their ass beat. It's a damn shame this clown not only cheated with those PEDS he cheated the fans out of see him get his ass whipped. I was looking forward to pedvetkin getting slept.
Oh this is funny. So, somehow in your fairyland world, anyone smart enough to realize the drug hasn't even been tested fully for longevity in the system, and realize it was just a trace amount anyway... SOMEHOW they need their bu tt kicked. Wow, the density from your end is deep today there friend. Get mad the fight is off. Fine. Going full blown wacko is just ridiculous. Take a chill pill and relax. Geez

^^^^^^ This. Wilder Corporation is celebrating big time right now. All-night party... make that all-week party.

Secondly, VADA tests samples more than once, and they do it for the very reason you mentioned (false positives). There's no benefit of the doubt to be given here. He tested clean 3 times and then tested dirty over 2 weeks later. If trace amounts showed up in that sample, they would have shown up in all samples.
What you naysayers refuse to accept is that this is new territory. The manufacturer themselves said they don't yet know how long trace amounts will stay in the system, nor do they know exactly how it effects all users. You can argue til the cows come home. Won't change anything.

WE aren't the ones 'making up our minds'. Again, the manufacturer says they cannot yet make a statement with any certainty as to WHEN trace elements fully leave the body of the user. And Povetkin's last test definitely falls into the 'trace elements found' category. IMO, until they can define the full life of the drug in the body, the rules should not be zero tolerance.

                      -------------------------------------------------------------------

Bottom line: The drug needs more research, and Wilder dodged a bullet. And he knows that well. I guarantee he sleeps much better tonight than he has in months.
