  • Comments Thread For: Wilder vs. Joshua Possible For 2017, Says Showtime's Espinoza

Yea that would seem like the plan with Joshua at Showtime now. That should be a fun fight. Wouldn't be surprised if both get dropped in that one. Both got some power, but both are lacking in some areas. Wilder more than Joshua despite the pro experience edge, although Wilder takes more chances so he could surprise Joshua or get surprised with the way he fights, who knows. Fun fight either way.

I really hate it that Wilder's next fight is in limbo because of his opponent felt the need to get roided up. Deontay really had a chance to shut up hia critics.

As for this, obviously its an exciting fight. Joshua is obviously nore polished and will probably come in the favorite. But Deontay can crack, and we've seen Joshua hurt. So you never know.

Heavyweight is exciting again. Hope it just hasn't been gone too long to bring boxing back to the mainstream. Guys like DLH, Floyd, and Manny have done a good job of caring the sport through maybe the worst period of heavyweight boxing in the history of the sport. But as the heavyweight division goes, so goes boxing. Maybe boxing is on the way back.

good fight but Wilder has an edge.If Dillain Whyte could rock Joshua,I wonder how he could survive Wilder's right hand.

Joshua got rocked (and recovered) off a good counter punch from a noted puncher in whyte

Wilder got knocked down and almost out off a shot from Harold Sconiers (23% ko ratio) and has been rocked in almost every fight he's had since winning the title, including against Szpilka who is not a puncher.

Truth is we don't know how joshua would handle a solid wilder punch but we KNOW wilder couldn't take a Joshua punch,so if anyone has an edge here, it's joshua

Harold Sconiers was slow, old, fat, a bum, and featherfisted

Wilder fans can't use the whyte fight as an indicator of anything because wilder got hurt WAY worse by a guy who is WAY worse than whyte.

do you not understand simple logic.

That's like saying you can't beat me in a race because you lost to usain bolt, when i lost a race to a fat guy from the pub.

              it makes NO sense.

I get you but Whyte is not a power puncher like Wilder.Joshua would have been knocked out if he receives the punches Stiverne took against Wilder.

are you guys ****ing ******ed or something

so is this fight just a case of "can joshua take wilders shots" like he's not going to throw any punches of his own?

                    1. No one knows how hurt Wilder was in the Sconiers fight because there is no footage.
                    2. Wilder was like 210 pounds during that time....hes now bigger and stronger.
                    3. Wilder ate big punches from Stirverne, Molina and Duhop....all of whom are good punchers.....Wilder walked right through them.

Wilder has the edge over Josh. He has a better punch resistance, more punching power and speed.....sooooo.
