Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker's Coach Reveals He Rejected Takam Twice in 2015

This is something every person on this sit should read. This is how the sport works. Twice he ducked a Takam fight in 2015 because his trainer Barry did not think he was ready. Too big a risk with too little reward. Now that an IBF eliminator was proposed they will take the fight. Good money & a title shot up for grabs. Barry also mentioned both Wilder & Joshua avoided a Takam fight. The only way to stop these champions & fighters from avoiding big fights is to have ONLY ONE CHAMPION per weight class. It's all about money & protecting your cash cow. You have one champion then everyone has to get in line & fight each other.

Parker was a pup he ducked because he wasn't ready yet for the best in the division, guys like Canelo and Stevenson are seasoned veterans.

The management will still avoid fights that are unwinnable/too risky.

But yea, you're right for the most part.

The 4x official sanctioning bodies are the cause of most of the problems within boxing today.
