Hearns - American Boxing is DONE, They Will Come Over Here Begging for Paydays.

Hearn says some ridiculous stuff and this is more of the same. American boxing isn't the financial powerhouse it once was and the heavyweight division is pretty much entirely european, much of cruiserweight is and super middle has almost always been British domain.
The other divisions are pretty much divided up between Asia and America but with the power of the American media and the english speaking world, they will always dominatet he remaining divisions. -

His fighter knows a thing or two about begging for pay days.
Sure US boxing is mostly based on TV revenue rather tickets but it is revenue nonetheless.
All roads lead to Rome, the super power of the time, now it is US, culturally, financially etc etc. The "making it big in US" isn't changing any time soon. It might dilute a little though.Last edited by Box-Office; 05-14-2016, 02:12 PM.Comment

Its too corporate. Fighting in Vegas or a Philly-Rican in Danny going to NY etc. They need to build hometown heroes. People back what is similar to them. UK boxing is all about city pride, which flows over from the football (soccer) culture. Obviously US or any other country has that but American boxing isn't doing that partially because as Hearn says that TV pays the purses so arenas are empty. Terence Crawford is a shining example.
Khan should be fighting in NY/NJ/LA/Chicago cuz of his ethnic community. Russians on east coast.
The expat fighters that have truly banked on to this are Poles like Adamek and Fonfara (I always think he is Szef).Comment

PBC obviously inflated the purses else there is nothing wrong with those purses especially for a freakin eliminator that's awesome.Comment
