Comments Thread For: Lomachenko: I'll Fight Russell Anywhere, I Think He's Too Scared!

Since suffering the first defeat of his pro career, Gary Russell Jr. (27-1, 16KOs) has been pushing for a rematch with two-time Olympic gold medal winner Vasyl Lomachenko.

Loma barely has that many pro fights and people already want to see him do two rematches (Salido and Russell).

I wanna see him in their with new opponents. I think he beats both of those guys with ease in a rematch.

I don't think Russell is scared, he's already been in there with Loma. But, I don't think Russell can win, either. I'm not buying all the excuses he came up with for his first L. There's a talent gap, or at least there appeared to be one in the first fight.

With all that being said, I'm down for the rematch, still.

Russell is a very talented boxer, problem is Loma is better. I'd watch them fight 10 times. They make for good fights. And although Loma is better, I give Russell a shot at beating him.

Russell got totally outclassed the first time. I wouldnt mind a rematch but its a pointless rematch.

As u said, 2 talented going at it, id watch even though there shouldnt be a rematch

id be ok with a salido rematch but at the same time i think its pointless he would beat him in a rematch fairly easy by decision i think. I guess it makes sense but honestly id rather see him fight someone else. everyone with a brain knows he was just too green

If Salido beats Vargas, I see Lomachenko staying at 130 and trying to avenge that loss. If he doesn't, then I see Lomachenko moving back down and entertaining the Russell rematch.

I agree. But boxing is the only sport you can be done 100 in the fourth quarter and score a game winning Ko lol. I love it! But yea I'd take Loma in a rematch
