Boxing is dying, because too many fights are in the US or the UK.

Miguel Cotto and Danny Garcia should fight in Puerto Rico from time to time.
    Canelo in Mexico
Amir Khan should put on fights in Pakistan or UAE.
David Haye should fight in Jamaica

That is how boxing will live on. Through tapping into new markets.

It is a disgrace that Manny Pacquiao hasn't fought in the Phillipines for the past 10 years.

If the fight is good enough, people will tune in and buy the fight on PPV, regardless of the venue.

Mayweather v Pacquiao would have sold just as many PPV's if the fight took place in Brazil.

What you fail to understand is the gate is biggest in big markets. Like people in the phillipines are going to bring in the same gate as if the fight were in Vegas or New York. Your statement is BS...

Brazil wasn't ever going to deliver a $70m gate either, lol

Fights go where the money is; US, UK, Germany, Russia, Denmark, Mexico, Canada, China, and a host of other nations have shown that they have a paying audience for boxing.

If Pacquiao actually did fight in the Philippines, how would you expect to price the tickets? lol

Boxing staying in casinos and premium cable is what pushed it out of the mainstream......sure, they make more easy money, but the market is shrinking. Imagine what happens if Vegas and HBO just stop paying....we're already seeing it with HBO.....

I would love to see Boxing go more GLOBAL, sure the US Market has the MONEY but the Crowds SUCK and the Mainstream Media don't cover Boxing AT ALL unless it involves Mayweather

But yes, I don't know why nobody have taken advantage of the UAE which has A LOT of money. Trying to keep everything in the US when boxing in the US is clearly on the Decline is ******.

With things changing in Cuba and considering how popular boxing is in CUBA, I would HOPE somebody is planning to do a Card in Cuba that would be great!
