Why didn't Ward accept to fight GGG at 164?

Moreover, Mayweather is a much more lucrative fight than Canelo.

If Canelo offered to meet GGG in the middle, then sure.. Which is wot I think will ultimately happen.

Joshua and Whyte filled out at the O2. Domestic Rivalries will always sell well. GGG is going to sell out Wembley because of what? Don't get it twisted.

      3. No excuses. Punk move.
It wasn't a joke. He was serious as a heart attack, but simply backtracked a bit in another interview, realizing the fight wasn't going to happen.

GGG is an international star. Ffroch/Groves did really well on PPV there too - I think netting Froch like 10 million pounds or 15 million.

Either way yo look at it, GGG/Froch at Wembley nets GGG a lot more money than GGG/Ward at Oracle arena.

I'm generally against CWs, except when you have two boxers who are clearly in different diviisions for a reason, and CW makes that fight proper, and fair.

Ward is at least ten pounds naturally larger than GGG, probably more... CW's are used for this reason - where both boxers give up a little something to make it fair

GGG offered Ward fifty fifty, straight down the middle, on everything from weight, to purse. Pretty sure he even agreed to fight Ward in Oakland too. That is the EPITOME of a proper CW fight, and why CW's should exist in boxing.

Lil Ward ducked Golovkin no way to put it, Ward offered a fight when only GGG has a fight set up and soon as Ward got an offer what happened is Ward rejected it and cried.

GGG made Ward scared hence why Ward ducked it.

Also Ward also ducked Bute and then he ducked Carl Froch rematch in England.

          Truth hurts, Ward is scared.

            Froch is a big name
            Big PPV star
            Well known
            Big fan base

            Ward average type of name
            Not a PPV star
            Not well known
Small fan base who won't travel

This is what it tells you and If you say anything other to this it just means you're delusional.

Let's keep it going - he also ducked a Kessler rematch in Denmark. WOrd has it Kessler's team wanted taht fight badly, and was willing to give Ward a huge guarantee.

Ward headbutted and clinched the piss out of Kessler, and did the same to Froch when Froch had him in trouble, and he was gassed late rounds.

Ward is a skilled boxer.... No denying that... but he lacks that certain quality that makes us love the sport.

HBO had to literally corner him to fight Kovalev. Making him promise to fight Kovalev if they let him have two fights against no hopers.

Yep, you bring the clinching n that up bro that certainly was why Ward won that fight watch the sparse parts where Ward had to fight keyword here 'CLEAN' Kessler was catching him and clearly bothering Ward.

If it happened in Denmark we could have been sure that we would have had a competent referee who wasn't biased in favour of the hometown fighter.

Of course he is talented but that fight with Kessler was one of the biggest jokes about and remember that fight is suppose to define Ward, he cheated to get that win.

And Ward said he'd fight Floyd at 160.

The bigger a fight is, the more money at stake, the more a boxer will concede to make that fight.

Which is why GGG will go to 154 for Mayweather, but not 155 for Canelo.

164 - doesn't get anymore fair than that. GGG has never fought above 160, and offered to meet Ward halfway, and was even going to give Ward fifty percent of the purse, AND fight him in Oakland.

Thanks for adding logic, reason, and facts to this thread.
