Floyd also says he's going to fight Conor McGregor, but since I already know that's not going to happen because Dana White has said pretty plainly that it never will, I don't have to put much stock into it.

Mayweather is a promoter, and it's his job to create headlines now. If you ask him, he's considering coming back to fight Godzilla. He's thrown out a few names, and the only one that makes the slightest bit of sense is Garcia.

That's not what Floyd said the other night. He said they haven't worked out the venue or money yet but there is a 50/50 chance the Conor fight will happen.

Am I the only person who didn't take Floyd's comments about GGG moving up to beat Ward as a prerequisite for a fight with him literally? I saw it as an implication that the fight would never happen because GGG would never move up to fight Ward.

We're talking from a legal aspect, not trying to sell fights. ZUFFA holds Mcgregor's contract, which says he has to fight exclusively for the UFC. If Mayweather announced that fight, they'd just file an injunction and kill it. If they did go into talks, with the money that they make from UFC events, Mayweather wouldn't be able to throw his weight around in negotiations. They'll want more money than him, and with Mayweather saying that he's not fighting for under 9 figures, you can consider that fight a pipe dream.

That's super dumb cause nobody demanded they go fight a top 5 p4per 2 divisions up, then drop down 3 divisions lol. Hell Floyd for all his accomplishments has never gone up a single division for a top 5 p4per, never mind 2, never mind dropping down 3 divisions lol.

I thought GGG busts up heavyweights and Cruiserweights while only weighing 160?

Why can't he fcuk Ward up while only weighing 166-168 and let Ward weigh 175, then go down to 154 for FMJ?

Last I checked, he said he could go up to 168 and whoop Chavez Jr who weighs much more than Ward on fight night, then come back down and whoop Floyd's ass at 154 then go to 160 to finish unifying, right?

So let's see him do it. If he really wants Floyd and the pay day like he says he does, he'll make it happen.
