From what I know it wasn't even a serious conversation. Froch asked what the highest GGG would go up to and Loeffler said he wasn't sure if he would go up to 168 for him. More than anything he didn't want to commit GGG to 168 against someone as big as Froch. Froch even mentioned that he would have to completely drain himself to make 168 and that he didn't want to risk his health. The fight never had a chance of happening at 168.Comment

Froch said around a year ago that Loeffler thought he was "too big, too strong" for gg.Comment

Hmmm. Froch himself said he was 'too big, too strong' - there was an article with pretty much that as the title - I don't think he claimed Loeffler said that though - that'd be plain weird. At the time I believe Froch said the impression he got was that they were looking south at a Cotto / Canelo fight and certainly weren't interested at 172 and probably not 168. Oddly enough Sanchez claims around the same time that they definitely were interested in Froch so who knows - typical Snafu from team GGG.Comment

I offered Gennady Golovkin a fight at 172 but he didn’t fancy it because I’m too big and strong for him and I can’t make middleweight,” said Froch to the Dailymail. “If I did box again, it would be at 172, at a catchweight. (Sergey) Kovalev could happen but I would rather play my poker. You don’t get hit in the face. Boxing is a hurt game, it’s not like football where you lose 5-0 or tennis where you lose in three sets, in boxing you go home on a stretcherComment

Gennady Golovkin
34 years old
35 fights
only 3 versus former titleholders
0 wins over elite opponents
only won 1 title in the ring out of 3 he holds
does'nt have 16 title defenses because he was elevated and never won the wba FULL/Super title
thats the truth...now can you handle the truthComment
