No one from Lara has contacted Loeffler from what I know. Froch wanted the fight to take place at 172! of course he's going to turn him down. 160 to 172 vs someone as big as Froch is suicide.

No one brings up Ward fighting a 39 year old Colombian?

Lara hasn't even contacted Haymon. And it's strange especially in a fight that is expected to be riddled with roadblocks such as promotional/network issues. And he does nothing but tweet. You can't really tell whether they want the fight or not.

Ward has to answer for being 30+ years old and using a kindergarten nickname for an opponent. It's certainly not from damage in the ring - the guy hasn't fought anyone with a pulse in years.

Actually Froch says Loeffler told him they probably weren't interested at 168 either .. this was at the time of the Lemieux fight and Carl got the impression their focus had switched firmly to the WBC mando (Cotto / Canelo) - possibly at a Catchweight - should they get past 'Moo.

From what I know it wasn't even a serious conversation. Froch asked what the highest GGG would go up to and Loeffler said he wasn't sure if he would go up to 168 for him. More than anything he didn't want to commit GGG to 168 against someone as big as Froch. Froch even mentioned that he would have to completely drain himself to make 168 and that he didn't want to risk his health. The fight never had a chance of happening at 168.
