    Ward needs to stfu...

The only reason he stepped up to kovolev was because hbo forced him or they wouldn't renew his contract and his ass would be headlining BET cards for the rest of his career..

Ward at least cleaned out his division and really had no major fights left at 168, please allow ggg to clean out 160. I want to see him fight Canelo, Jacobs, Saunders.. Then I'm all for him going up and tangling with Ward, Ramirez, etc

I like Ward more than I do GGG, but I think he is wrong here. GGG doesn't have to answer for anything or step up to another division till he feels like it. He could make a career out of being a 160lber and I wouldn't give a sh#t. If he wants to make CW fights for money, I wouldn't care either. Everybody else does it. Just so long as he isn't holding a belt in that division and hiding behind CWs. If he pulled that crap then his pancake face would be dead to me as a man.

Tell Ward to get on GGG's level and GGG might give Ward a payday in 2 years @168 in the slight case he doesnt get ktfod by Kovalev.
**** me, as if its only hardcore fans that want to see Kov-Ward. Thats even with GGG-Canelo as the biggest fight in boxing.

        May-Pac 2 can suck a dong.

How long is gg going to take to unify. It's obvious Saunders doesn't want to fight him unless he gets paid accordingly

Kov ward is one of the most important fights this era. You got the best at 175 and the best at 168 going up to meet him

What's there to prove if he and Abel think they can beat everybody at 160 yet in the real world there are weights above 160... and he's what 35?
He's 35 and already turned down ward Froch and Lara absolutely pathrtic

Ward is fighting Kovalev because he needed to make a decision. He thought long and hard whether to stay at 168 or not. Problem was he got fat and became impossible for him to do so. Another problem was if he moves up there's the dangerous Kovalev lurking in the shadows waiting for him. Both choices were evil, as he realized. But then again he needed to make a decision.

Point was it was all up to Ward. Fight didn't happen because of Ward. HBO offered the fight to him and GG 2 years ago, but Ward turned it down. Everything has to be on his terms, ie, date, purses, number of tuneup fights, etc. He didn't give a crap about the other guys' situation as if the world centers around him. Team GG decided they wanted none of Ward's lackadaisical crap.

when was golovkin vs ward supposed to happen? was it before or after the legal troubles? was it before or after ward wanted to have 3 tune-up fights after settling his legal matters? ward still hasn't had all 3 of those tune-ups. what weight was this fight supposed to take place at? ward hasnt made 168 since november 2013. is it a fact that ward could even make 168 after being out of the ring for almost 2 years?

ward's team made an "offer" to golovkin's team after they signed to fight lemeiux. at this point in time, ward had only fought 1 of his tune-up fights and then he got injured like a month later and had to pull out of whatever fight was supposed to be on the canelo-cotto undercard. was golovkin supposed to sit around and wait until after this alexander brand fight? ward might get injured again.

why are people still talking about this fight? when would it realistically have happened? when HBO sat them both down (it was in 2013 i believe), golovkin said yes and ward said no because he had an injury, fought rodriguez later on that year, and then didnt fight for almost 2 years. since that point in time, it's been an unrealistic fight. there's nothing to discuss.

Ward is on record for saying his goal is Heavyweight and end it there. The Kovalev fight is a bout that should take him there.
