Thanx for the info. Then why is Dan Rafael and a stack of others going off like Povetkin is a cheat? And for that matter, why did VADA even make a press release about it? If he's below the limit, well below in this case, why is it even brought up? And do we even know how long it stays in the system after discontinuing use? I guess I have alotta questions.Comment

Povetkin's team say he stopped taking meldonium last September, before it was officially added to the WADA banned substances list January this year. But the claim doesn't stand up because VADA's records show Povetkin tested negative for any banned substances on April 7, 8, and 11, before testing positive for meldonium on April 27th.

I think 7-8 would be many.
The definitition of several is more than 2-3, but not many.
Either way, it doesn't really matter because somehow Pov found a way to pass 3 tests before failing the 4th, but had the stuff in his system since September?Comment

This from ИATAS bears re-posting:
Baby Blimp Dan Rafael tweeting this below is kinda bogus. He's assuming a lot...
"Povetkin was negative in VADA tests on 4/7, 4/8, 4/11. Positive on 4/27. Story that substance in system was from 2015 before ban is fantasy."
Especially if by 'positive' he's referring to the .07 test... since from what I read the limit is 1.0. Unless my math is wacko, .07 is less than 1/10th the limit.
This issue is generating a bunch of confusing info, none of which seems to be more than smoke and mirrors at this stage IMO. You're either within guidelines or you aren't. And it looks like Povetkin is within guidelines... so why did Rafael even 'break' a non-story?Comment

Again, the "limit is 1.0" was specific to tests taken BEFORE MARCH 1.This from ИATAS bears re-posting:
