    • Not with him testing negative 3 times prior to it. That would mean either VADA testing isn't what you claimed prior or he used. It is virtually impossible for him to have not used since January, test negative multiple times, than test positive.
No it isn't. 70 nanograms is a trace amount that could show up clean half the time. Stop reading Lou Dibella PR statements and mixing them up with WADA's information. They are two different things.

WADA/VADA: Povetkin has both clean and positive tests. There is not adequate time to re-test the fighters before the match therefore a postponement is in order.

Lou Dibella: THEY SAID HE TESTED CLEAN THEN DIRTY! THEY CALLED THE WHOLE THING OFF! YAHOOOO!

You chose which one to believe.

      • "Wada said in its briefing document that doping cases should be pursued in the case of athletes who admit having taken meldonium on or after 1 January, in cases where the concentration of the drug is above 15 micrograms per millilitre, or where the concentration is between 1 and 15 millilitres and the test was after 1 March.

The organisation said prosecution of meldonium cases could be “stayed” and provisional suspensions lifted if the concentration of the drug in the system was between 1 and 15 micrograms per millilitre and the test was carried out before 1st March, or if the level is below 1 microgram per millilitre and the doping control was conducted after 1st March."

Povetkin is clean according to WADA.

VADA merely recommended postponement so they could re-test the fighters.

Wilder's team decided (completely on their own) that it was a dirty test and tucked tail.

very interesting.but why did vada release the existence of meldonium in the sample if it was within the acceptable boundaries?

I knew he was clean. Meldonium retention is unknown, hence the residual amounts set and Povetkin was well within them. Haymon better get his ass back on that plane.

I am believing the results of the VADA test-he was negative until he tested positive. At that point, he was dirty and thus he cheated. Most likely reason-he used after the last negative but before the positive.

I have never seen a case where, using the same testing protocol, there were negatives and then a positive like this.

DIbella's stements have nothing to do with my opinion.

70 nanograms is not considered a dirty test as per WADA guidelines.

It merely warranted retesting, they said there wasn't enough time for retesting, fight should be postponed.

There was no dirty test. You guys are bending reality very hard here. Nobody tested dirty according to WADA guidelines.

You posted a portion of something from WADA and decided that makes Povetkin clean. LMFAO.

He tested positive after he tested negative. he cheated.

The question is why he needed to cheat to fight a guy like Wilder? I and others thought he was clearly better than Wilder and would likely win.

                    • WADA Statement on Meldonium,

... Since meldonium was prohibited on 1 January of this year, there have been 172 positive samples for the substance, for athletes across numerous countries and sports ... Concurrently, there has been a call by stakeholders for further clarification and guidance. WADA recognizes this need -- that meldonium is a particular substance, which has created an unprecedented situation and therefore warranted additional guidance for the anti-doping community.

There is currently limited data available on excretion studies relating to meldonium; and, as such, several studies are currently being conducted involving WADA accredited laboratories, which WADA will share when available. Until such time, the Notice provides guidance as to how organizations should manage meldonium cases within their respective jurisdictions, which may be to ‘pursue’ or ‘stay’ until further excretion research has been made available.
