As for the promoter claiming he stopped taking this last September, exactly how does he know that? Has he been within eyesight of Povetkin's every waking moment since then? That's the only way he could know.

I expect this from his promoter because he has a lot to lose financially. But the WBC is sanctioning this fight and the drug tests are according to their rules. If Wilder wants to fight he should go ahead. But the WBC should not sanction this fight. If they sanction this fight what's the point of they're l their new drug testing program? It's a wrap. Dude is a cheat. The thing is, nobody is shocked he got popped. Even those rooting for Povetkin will admit he's been su****ious for a while now. If Wilder wants to fight is cool. I'm more than happy to see guys who get caught with anabolics get banned. They're scourge. If it's not anabolic, it's a waste of time and money banning over it.

Wilder will do fine, that wasn't the point. The point is that it gives the fighter an advantage in training. Period. In the article it states they test for illegal substances and performance enhancing substances, so no need for a marijuana explanation.

Also it just broke that Povetkin was negative on 3 prior tests, so he just took the drug recently. This is a decision he made knowing the consequences.

WBC only cares about the money. 3% of $7.15M is $214,500. That's a big payday for them. You better believe they'll sanction it if Wilder signs off.
