    Read. Read. Read. Christ man.

I hope the fight goes as planned and both guys do great.
I get it, I'm not blaming Povetkin I just don't like him on a personal level, got nothing against him as an athlete.

I think the fight should go on, and if he is to win nothing should be held against him.

I'm of the camp that ALL athletes juice, seen it and heard real life accounts of famous athletes juicing.

Just like this drug, one day its perfectly legal, the whole world is taking it, the next day it is not and you are a cheat. Its ******...

So all athletes juice, but juice= *one day its legal, the next it isnt*

Wait till one day creatine becomes illegal because it has clear performance benefits, and it is fact that tens of millions of athletes use it daily.

Now this does not change the fact that he delayed the fight because he needed time to clear himself off of this drug prior to it becoming illegal.

No it means the amount (70 nanograms) is within the margin of error for a clean test. Anyone who's looked at their own test results like I have mind knows their are error margins.

Are you saying he took it yesterday (a substance that takes half a year to leave your body) and his levels are already on the edge of indetectable?

      I guess you're trolling

OK well I pretty much agree. They are all on some form of PED. It's a game of what's legal and what isn't.

I just don't see why a guy who was taking something legal then got tested for it after it was banned should be singled out when he's following the rules as they were written. That's my only horse in the race.

        Agree with your points.

If he used it before the ban they would have caught it with the earlier tests they did. They just recently did another random test and he tested positive for the first time. He obviously used it recently. he wouldnt have passed the first couple of tests if he had used it before the ban like you say.

I'd tell you to grow up but you are old enough.

ALL athletes take a daily ****tail of god knows what, from multivitamins to medicines to PEDs.

This is a perfect example of a 'drug' being just that for 40 years and suddenly becoming a PED once someone deemed it to be one, right or wrong is irrelevant here.

BTW I'm team Wilder on this one.

            • "Alexander Povetkin used to take [M]eldonium in September last year, when the drug was permitted" noted promoter Andriy Ryabinsky through World of Boxing's verified social media account. "Povetkin has not been taking this drug since January, but theoretically [M]eldonium could remain in the blood."
Shrug, if that story is true then it sucks to be Povetkin. It seems unlikely to me that a drug can last 5 months in someone's system though. Plus it seems unlikely that the test that produced this result was the first one, which makes it all the more likely that he was taking it during training.

I don't know much about this kind of thing though, so I'll wait to hear more about it before judging I guess.

He could not have used it recently because the trace is only 70 nano, if that is indeed true.

And as someone mentioned already, 70 nano is a small enough margin to be within margin of error hence the other clean tests.

So what are you implying Russian athletes have more occurrences of heart & vascular diseases?

Although I will agree with you the banning of this substance is questionable as a person critical of the banned substance list in general. I'd like to believe there is more science oriented reasoning with adding things to the banned substance list. This substance just seemed to be banned cuz a lot of athletes were on it, most notably Russian athletes. Occum's razor says this substance does something for sure doe, but I still don't approve of why it was added to the list if I'm being honest.

So what if athletes are on daily *****? If they get caught it becomes a discussion, that's what life is about so grow up a bit mate, no one is claiming it's a PED stop diverting the issue or my comments here.

Again why were they using this drug? It was suppose to be a medication for a severe heart condition, no one claim it was minerals or vitamin. I don't give a shet about Wilder and am still hoping Povetkin takes his head off. But am calling it like I see it.

why use the drug in the first place when you have NO heart condition.... That's the answers that I want to hear.
