Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia: There Will Be a New King, I'll Dethrone Mayweather!

WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia (32-0, 18KOs) is not only ready, but he's also very confident of handing Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) his first defeat as a pro.

This is odd. Nice change in tone for Danny.

This is the first time he's actually expressed interesting in fighting him. Usually he passes it off with something like, "If it happens it happens, but I'm not seeking him out or anything."

Only fights I would be interested in seeing Maywesther in would be Golovkin, Pacquiao II or perhaps Thurman or Brook. I thought Peterson beat Garcia so he would be easy work for Mayweather.

He wasn't able to beat Guerrero properly and he wants to "dethrone" Floyd...

No chance in hell of beating Mayweather. Mayweather is an industry and if he comes back he will just do like what he did with Marquez. He will be very sharp and spot on. What people don't realise is when you are away for such a long time you can be rejuvenated through various means. I know what Floyd's up to when he's retired.

He is saying that because Floyd's retired and unlikely to come back. I've seen Garcia after Floyd's fights shaking his head in amazement.
