Racist black youtubers as usual, is it a coincidence they are all Floyd nutthuggers?

There's govenment taxes that have to be paid on gross income for the fight..that's standard ...Khan was due to get 13million if the projected sales were 1 million...it done half the amount as projected....the arena will charge money to host an event not pay out otherwise how can it do business....money was made but it was far from an extravaganza in terms of money made......Oscar was hoping for 2 mil buys and it done a quarter of that

Add up the pieces, and you get close to the projected payouts on the fight.

        $70 fee 10% to HBO = $63 for promter and cable company/satellite

        45% of $63= $28.35 x 460,000= $13,041,000 + $7,400,000= $20,441,000

        Khan $13 mil + Canelo $20 mil = $33 mil

        $70 PPV with 50% going to the cable/satellite companies = $45

        $45 with 7.5% going to HBO leaves GBP with $33.75 x 460k = $15.5mil

        $15.5mil + $7.4 mil gate = $23 mil

        Khan $13 mil + Canelo $20 mil = $33 mil

The second model I used is more favorable to GBP but I still don't see where all the extra money is coming from. They would have to make up $10-$13 mil in Mexico/UK rights fees, sponsorships, closed circuit, etc to break even on the purses. To put that in perspective May-Pac had $13 mil in sponsorships and $35 mil in foreign rights fees. In Mexico, TV Azteca and Televisa both bought the rights fees for $2.3 mil total.

I don't think Golden Boy lost money on the fight but I think the reported take home pay for both fighters have been inflated. I think it's closer to $12-$15 mil total take home combined.

Smart pick of opponents to make the most money with the least risk. I'd do the same thing. They are maxed out, there are no semi competitive small opponents so now is the time to fight GGG, the fans will not pay to see anyone else. There is no Marinating. Be a Mexican warrior or be a P ssy

canelo is clearly not the star he is made out to be and comparing his numbers to triple g does not change that canelo drawing power has been extremely exaggerated

HBO is unlikely to put up any of the money for support content for the Crawford-Postol fight, so it's not like HBO is risking all that much.

Mexico TV rights, BoxNation payout for the UK rights, sponsors for the event (Tecate going all in on Canelo likely goosed the event number a bit), and the rest of the international TV rights (excluding any type of site fee money that MGM Resorts possibly put behind the event).

There's a lot of money that's going uncounted in this conversation (especially with Canelo Promotions taking 80% of the money in their deal with Golden Boy). The event may not have ended up big enough to reach the full ceiling on the purses, but with things starting from a base of $5m, I don't doubt that the number got near $30m in payouts.

Ouch only 13k tickets sold?? Biggest star in boxing can't sell out the new arena?? That is embarrassing.

Hopefully it shows Golden Boy that they need to make the GGG fight.

LMAO so it made more than Khan Canelo on Cinco de Mayo? The Mexicans love Floyd more than Canelo.

Canelo is gonna be seliing out his basement if this GGG fight don't happen. This bum can only go so far without a career defining fight.
