WBA is so confusing. So Luis Ortiz is the interim champ and he's supposedly fighting for the vacant "regular" belt. How can he fight for the vacant title that he's the interim champ of? Also since Brown is stripped and Ruslan is indeed retired that should make interim champ Ortiz the full champ and not have to fight for a vacant title.

He was interim, the regular champ is a proven cheat therefore he's elevated to champ ! What's to be confused over, it ain't like he wasnt one of their champs and they've just given him a title, he already had one. Like it or not these paper belts are meaningful in terms of positions, ranking criteria etc, not that I encourage them.

I'm glad Browne has been stripped, that's one less dud fight before Ortiz is mandated to the 'Super' champ. Now we only need Oquendo to take a pay off or 'become injured' again and that's another crap fight wiped off the manifesto.

it does amuse me how serious people take this forum as if points and being red means anything, i would actually take being red as a mark of honor.
