Comments Thread For: Jorge Linares Summer Return Targeted: Crolla, Flanagan in Play

The lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Venezuela's Jorge Linares, could seek a unification fight when he returns in the summer, and everything indicates that his destiny will take him to England.

linares should have enough to beat either of them, i guess he is so injury savaged nowadays that at least flanaghan will pitter patter him to a UD.

Linares-Zlaticanin was originally going to be in the US (on Showtime IIRC?) hopefully they can re-schedule that. If Hearn/Warren can work together then Flanagan-Crolla is the best, most likely fight for both.

thats a shame, i'd take Zlaticanin in that one. i reckon most in the division will look to duck him, he's a problem.

Ok good for Linares. If he is to have a unification bout with the aforementioned champions more power to him. But, Dejan needs his crack at Linares right after.

Never seen Flanagan, but I'll pick Crolla to outlast Linares in a slugfest. If that happens, then Crolla will be able to say he beat both fighters who beat Mitchell in 2015. He still has to watch out for Linares' killer straight right, though.

Technically I'd say he's the most complete fighter of the last 10 years besides Juan Manuel Marquez.

                  Just no damn chin.
