I think it is a great match-up! I was really impressed with Postol against Lucas and he can fight. Crawford has been the man and I think for many of us a this will be a major step if he can put away or dominate Postol. I don't see Postol fading like Lundy, Gamboa, etc. I can't wait!

In some of Crawford's fights he takes the first few rounds off to study his opponents and look for openings... He can't do that against Postol. He needs to try to win every round or he will be down on the scorecards late in the fight. I will pick Crawford by close decision.Comment

Damn I just watched some of Postol vs Matthysse again. Postol is a badass mother****er. He is huge, has great stamina, a good jab, and brutal and nasty on the inside. He wore Lucas out badly. This will be such an interesting fight.Comment

If Crawford beats Postol i'll happily call him the real deal, i didn't like all his clinching against Lucas, but nobody can deny that Postol is a quality fighter.Comment

Postol was the underdog in that fight. The odds were something like: Lucas Matthysse, -230 and Viktor Postol, +190. In comparison with Crawford vs Lundy, the odds were in the opposite direction by a mile.
The interesting part was Postol got $90K, while Crawford got $1.21 million. It's a huge discrepancy. So you can say that Haymon is not the only guy who overpays ultra-protected fighters for fighting bums. And I have a theory that the reason why they do it is because they're too terrified to lose them.
The question is will these promoters continue to overypay them when they lose?Comment
