Wilder took many, many flush shots from Molina, Duhuapus and Szpilka, and came out OK. Povetkin's power is real, though.

I have to disagree with Lewis here a shorter fight is going to favor Wilder , Povetkin will land the cleaner punches or be the more active puncher if he should win decision. The shorter fight will go to who can hurt who more easily which favors Wilder and also landing clean shot on him from the 6'2 Povetkin .I will be surprised if Wilder wins by decision ,Povetkin is the better talent but i think Wilder can get the K.O here and he wins ....late rnd k.o after 7!

Definitely. If Povetkin get Wilder in any kind of trouble he will finish him because he's very good at finishing once he hurts his opponent.

Wilder's best chance is to keep the fight at a distance for however long the fight last. It will be a difficult task.

Only disagree with Lewis on the chin. Wilder was hit with several hard shots from the only top 5 ranked guy he's ever fought in 36 fights..... That's bad but he didn't wobble from those Steverine shots so he has a good chin. Seeing as how this is only the second REAL fighter he has fought in 36 fights he would probably not win. But I pick BUM SQUAD by late knockout or close decision. Then in September he's back to fighting a no name unranked BUM as usual. BUM SQUAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple years ago i give Wilder almost no chance of winning but now it's 50/50 to me. I think povetkin will flatten him with a left hook if he gets inside but if Wilder can stay outside & smash sasha with rights while he tries to get in it could be lights out for povetkin. This is s great matchup. Povetkin has the experience & momentum but wilder has an eraser right hand.

I think its a real 50/50 fight if it came down to two styles of the fight.... If wilder moves and boxes from a distance and his accuracy is there with his right hand and he's not so wild with his shots then I see him putting povetkin away as he has good power wilder but he has to stay focused and not get sloppy as he pulls away and has to tie povetkin up when he gets close and not let him work, however if wilder is still pulling straight back and is still wild and reckless when loading up then povetkin can catch him with his left hook....povetkins power exceeds anybody wilder has ever faced in the ring and povetkin closes the distance and starts catching wilder....then I think povetkin knocks wilder out....it's gonna be hard for wilder in Moscow that's all I know and if he wins this fight he deserves real credit for it......hostile environment

This will be such an easy fight for Deontay you'll be surprised. If it goes to the scorecards I'm expecting a 118-110 with multiple knockdowns in favour of Deontay.

However I'm fully expecting a KO despite Povetkin having never been stopped. Going to be another case of a Super Hw flattening a smaller foe. Everyone talking about Povetkins "power" seem to forget that Wilder and AJ are the no.1 for punching power in the entire world.

And shortly thereafter, a news article that Deontay Wilder failed a drug test and the win was overturned.
