  • Comments Thread For: David Haye: I Don't Give Tyson Fury a Shot in Hell of Beating Joshua

Former two-division world champion David Haye believes Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16KOs) is already capable of defeating the current king of the heavyweight division, WBO/WBA/IBO champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18KOs).

Anyway, not surprising to hear Haye say this as he's a massive fan of Joshua and despises Fury.

For my money, Fury beats AJ now. Fury is incredibly awkward, bigger than AJ, much better jab and footwork and more experience. We haven't really seen any evidence of AJ having an inside game yet, Fury's inside game is surprisingly good for a big man. Of course, the possibility exists for AJ to catch Fury early and we've seen that he's a good finisher. But I see Fury beating him on points at this stage. Joshua is a hell of a prospect but he's very mechanical and somewhat predictable in his rhythm, Fury is very unpredictable by comparison. UD for Fury in a good fight.

Fury is only good against fighters who either are smaller in size (Joshua size easliy matches up with fury's ) or who don't punch in combination ....yeah he's awkward against fighters who just let him clown about but I guarantee you now Joshua knocks fury out as soon as he does that....Joshua can sit back and patiently wait for fury to leave himself open and then counter him and then it's curtains for fury ....Christ we even saw what pulev did to chisora the other night and up until the klitchcko fight that Tyson fury's best win.....I'll bet anybody on here that Joshua beats fury when they face each other ...I don't think you quite realise what Tyson fury will come against when he steps in the ring with Joshua ...fury knows it as well

David Haye is just a butthurt hasbeen who is still devastated that Tyson did the job that he couldn't.

I recall him giving Fury a 1 in 20 chance of beating Wladimir as well.

David Haye and Steve Plunger are two peas in a pod, neither of them know **** about boxing.

              Plunger.

First of all, it's on Joshua to press the action against Fury. Fury is taller with superior footwork. Fury isn't going to come forward, he will box on the back foot and use his reach advantage to beat Joshua to the jab. Can Joshua do a Wilder and launch punches from across the ring? No, he fights in the pocket and waits to close the distance. If you think Tyson Fury will stand straight in front of him and wait for AJ to knock him out like that bum Martin did, you're in for a rude awakening.

Chisora stills beats anyone on AJ's resume btw, and that's the current version, not the prime version who Fury originally faced & beat.

Haye fought the better version of Wladimir that wasn't gun shy, you can be sure that this time in the rematch Wladimir will take risks to get his belts off the chubby gypo.

Do you have any idea of reach and how it's calculated.....fury's reach is longer because he has a wider frame ....it's done on the full span of the back.....not arm length silly man, and when Joshua is face on with fury there be no size difference .chisora would not even beat Dillan Whyte...chisora is a slow plodder who lacks any pop in his punches and has lost to every decent fighter he has faced , Joshua will step in the ring and look bigger than fury because he's more athletic and has a more imposing physique ...fury will dangle his silly arms around his waist and do his silly jig and Joshua pretty much what he did with Martin time him, counter him and then it's good night...fury's chin is suspect , he's not conditioned enough and will fall as soon clips him.....he's already been dropped 2 times one by a faded cruiserweight the other by a Romanian road sweeper...fury will not beat Joshua and that's why he's been snapped up by showtime and he's the biggest name in heavyweight boxing in the uk now most probably the world
