Why is GoldenBoy employee Bernard Hopkins trying to match a MW K2 fighter and a LHW Main Events fighter? (To protect Canelo is the correct answer)

Beating Canelo will raise GGG's profile and make him worth more money.
Hunter probably figures that GGG will be at 168 sooner or later and if Ward can really still make the weight, GGG vs Ward would be worth more money.
Ward will need a big money money fight after he gets smashed by Kovalev.

The reason why he said it was because he has been asked about it in many different interviews

So when post fight Khan said i am "147 fighter i thought i'd challenge myself" he said its now time for Canelo to do the same. Hunter took the mic from him and gave his mind

This also has something to do with Kov vs Ward, cuz Ward is also daring to be great by moving up

Have to agree with Roach. I want to see the fight as much as the next boxing fan but it really looked like a victim saying "Oh yeah! My friend can kick your ass."

No fault of Virgil if leading up to the buildup he was just being asked questions regarding golovkin and then during the fight his fighter got KOed by the much bigger dude and he just had to let it out in the heat of the moment. He now wants to see GGG get revenge by KOing Canelo.

Totally agree with Roach. Hunter should've called out GGG for not coming up to face Ward. He could've said "at least Khan had the courage to come up." I didn't understand his calling out Canelo. He looked real butthurt from that KO!
