Hunter didn't really saying anything wrong except that Champnelo was hiding. Champnelo doesn't hide, especially from a guy who hasn't done much in the sport of boxing (Lil G.) Other than using the incorrect terminology, Hunter just said what everyone else is saying, time to see them fight.

What is Roach talking about? Khan was standing right next to Hunter when he said it.

The angle is very simple here. Hunter feels like Canelo should fight GGG at 160. It's not rocket science.

When did Roach say Khan was up 5 to 0? How anyone could give Khan the 5th round just shows how dumb people are. Face it your boy got iced. And it wasn't any kind of clever punch, faint, or nice combination. It was a simple lead right hand that any good boxer should of seen coming.

Virgil came off as a little butthurt there. He was probably ashamed at the fact that he let Khan take the fight in the first place. He has no reason to be playing matchmaker for fighters that he has no involvement in.

nothing wrong with what Hunter said but he just said it at the wrong place and wrong time. you can say something like that in other interviews after the fight maybe during the post fight press but not during the interview inside the ring right after your fighter just got knocked out. he should have been more concern on his fighter at that exact moment rather than lashing out at Canelo to fight another boxer hoping that GGG's win is also his win.

Definitely not a good look for Virgil Hunter. Its not his place to say who Canelo should fight and at what weight.

Roach was lame with that crack about helping your fighter up, though. As others have mentioned Khan was already up....it was the post fight interview.

Virgil was pissed off that his guy just got KTFO by a guy that came into the ring weighing 180lbs but claimed he wasn't a middleweight. Khan should have at least got a re hydration clause in the contract to give him a shot.

His guy was willng to take the risk and gave up many advantages to make the fight. Canelo will be the A side so it is on him to make it happen. Who else can he face? one of GGG leftovers? Haymon has most of the talent at 154lbs, and they have fights lineup.
Manny is probably retired so there isn't to many options left.

Maybe they do a joint PPV with both guys facing someone else and then next year they face each other?
