What inprovements? He fought a lot more safety first because that's what he should have done. Before Garcia knocked Khan out he wasn't known for being a big puncher at all, so naturally Khan didn't show him the same respect.

He boxed more against Canelo because if he didn't he would have been koed a lot earlier.

And what improvements TS? Getting stretched in a more impressive fashion is the only thing he has gotten better at. Khan is a joke. This guy got dropped by Diaz for fcuk sake. This guy was getting tuned up by Chris Algieri for several rounds. What did you think was going to happen fighting Canelo?

Anyways, Khan was never going to beat Canelo, he would have to have fought a punch perfect fight, which is not possible for Khan, especially with all the advantages his opponent had from size, weight, power, experience. Khan was going to make a mistake and he did so in round 6 and paid the price for it.

He could probably have got up if that punch came from a 147'er, but against Canelo who outweighed him and was also known for his power, no chance....

However i did see things that i liked from Khan, his right hand did catch Canelos attention in round 1 and 2, be it momentarily. So there was some power behind his shots, if he carries that back down to 147, that could help him.

I also liked how he limited his combo's to 2-3 punch combo's instead of 5-6 combo's, making it harder to catch him with a counter.

I liked how he was using the ring and also that he wasnt throwing punches for the sake of throwing punches.

Ofcourse there are still flaws, like the lack of head movement, or lapses in concentration, but Hunter has got him thinking about what he is doing, and he is taking less overall punishment.

I know many give him no chance at beating Garcia, Thurman, Brook, and just about everyone at 147, but i disagree, i think he will actually beat a lot of them.

He may lose a fight again, but he'll also have a big win or 2.

I am glad he is sticking with Hunter.
In all honestly, Khans hand speed got him to the 6th, Canelos main job was to not get caught with anything dumb. Personally if Hunter wasn't one of my favorite fighters (Andre Ward) trainer, I wouldnt care for him to much as a corner man. It was really dumb for Khan to keep circling to his left (Canelos right) it was just a matter of time before Canelo timed that right. Dont get me wrong I think Canelo wouldve got him with a left if he went the other way but any good trainer wouldve worked on taking away the power hand from a much bigger man. Also Khan has always thrown punches with his shoulders down, IDK it helps with his speed but it gives him no chance at slipping or rolling with a punch properly. Again though I dont think these techniques would've secured a victory because odds were against him but it couldve helped in other fights and maybe bought him some time.

I saw no improvement, I saw some stylistic advantages for Khan. Nothing else. Khan's defense was still as poor as it has always been. Canelo landed half of his power punches which is too much really, you land 50% of power shots, that's too much. Khan was moving and throwing very fast, but in reality Canelo outlanded Khan in 4 of the 6 rounds and he was landing his power shots with Mayweather-esque accuracy. Khan's accuracy was pretty poor as well, and the punches he landed were impressive but they were few and far in between.

Beautiful breakdown by Paulie. People love ****ting on him more than Khan I think, but for my money no one breaks down a fight better than he does in a very understandable & easily digestable way. He's like the Neil DeGrasse Tyson of boxing breakdowns.
His breakdowns are some of the best, and long may he continue as a analyst.
