Its also gonna be interesting if Canelo catches a career altering altering beatdown, as is more likely

I have read that ever since GGG was an amateur he has never even been knocked down which is huge in my opinion even more for a middle weight.
This fight is already bringing in casual fans which is good.

The question is how much should be considered a reasonable offer?
8-10mil?? 70-30?? 75-25??? You try to get more than you deserve or try to force the fight to purse bid and that kills the fight, and not only that, you give gbp the perfect excuse to not make the fight for a few years ... this negotiations wont be easy at all...

I think PBP makes a great point-GGG has never faced someone as good as Canelo. Could be a Garcia/Matthysse situation.

I agree with that. I wouldn't say that he lost badly to Lara - a draw would be OK but he sure looked bad in there. No questions on the other fight.

No it wont be. Using Floyd/ODH as a barometer, Floyd went from 8 mil to 25 mil (once PPV came in) when he fought ODH.

GGG going from the $2 mil he made for Lemuiex and Wade to a guaranteed $5 mil plus ppv revenue seems fair. a reasonable split of the ppv is 75/25 or 70/30 given Canelo's worst PPV has doubled GGG's only one (using 150k and not 97k).

Wasn't Matthysse more proven than Garcia? So not a very helpful comparison. But you never know, Garcia could masterclass Floyd next

Only in the minds of some. to the rest of us he was a power puncher that lost to the 2 best guys he faced.

GGG just hasn't fought the resume Matts did or he might have a couple losses.

Just be careful. GGG has tremendous talent but Canelo is a huge step up. Just like Floyd was a huge step up from Trout for Canelo.
