it's funny when ppl say Canelo has resume. What resume? he got his title by beating a lightweight. Defended against tomato cans and other lightweights. Now he jumped to middleweight but still fighting lightweights lol...Lemiuex will f...him up, let alone GGG. It's obvious Oscar doesn't put Canelo against GGG

Good post! Your on the money with everything you said. Im pretty sure Canelo is going to hold up well with a sustained attack but mentally it's going to **** with him and that will be he's downfall. I agree also that ginger would struggle with Lemieux as well. I see the fight going similar to GGG/Lemieux.

We can sit up here and question GGG's competition all we want, GGG takes on all comers around his weight class and he does what he's suppose to do, impressively I might add. Hell, I think Canelo struggles with Lemieux and GGG whitewashed and beat down Lemieux. I know, I know styles make fight, but you can't ignore the attributes either.

Canelo commits the cardinal sin that you don't want to commit against GGG. Canelo's head stays in the same position, he's flat footed, he rarely throws combination, he wings his punches / lunges at times and he has a tendency to get tired. All recipe for disaster against GGG. GGG's longer jab will find his head early and often, his body attack (the best in the business) will rattles his ribs often, Canelo not too shabby in that department but the eye test tells you GGG punches does more damage, he's probably the best in the biz in putting his punches together and he will probably be the well conditioned of the two. Those are all telling stats.

Canelo is a live dog and I will respect him a great deal if he takes this fight and while no means will it be a whitewash, Canelo will certainly bring the fight but it can't be sustained and he will have no chance to take a breather against GGG. GGG's effective aggression and his heavy artillery in my opinion will eventually break Canelo down for a knockout or TKO.

I completely agree, I think most people are making something out of this fight that really isn't the question. They both punch incredibly hard and aggressive, the question will be who takes the punch better. I have NEVER seen GGG get rocked or fuzzy, and I don't think I have seen that from Canelo either. I have read that ever since GGG was an amateur he has never even been knocked down which is huge in my opinion even more for a middle weight.

"He has to earn the fight"

              "Fight needs to marinate"

"He ain't what people think he is"

Yet the dancing around making the fight happen continues. What bigger win could Canelo find? Would not beating Golovkin, the guy with 22 knockouts in a row be the biggest moment of your career? Yet in 15 days, fight won't have been signed.

This could be another Garcia/Matthysse situation.
I think it'll be ggg-lemieux all over again.

Canelo's defense is underrated. He has decent head movement when he's inside but he won't be able to do his waist-bending bob and weave because GGG will forego the head and stick that lead hook into the side of the ribs all day.

I want to see how Canelo grits his teeth against a guy who presses forward and hurts him consistently. He won't have a size advantage this time. GGG also hits just as hard. Canelo may be faster but his lack of mobility compared to GGG will be a disadvantage. GGG will turn Canelo constantly and prevent him from setting his feet to launch power punches. Most def he'll make Canelo pay for using wide looping hooks.

I see GGG showcasing his fundamentals to control the pace (like he did against Lemieux) . With one eye swollen badly, Canelo will fade during the championship rounds. GGG has the better engine. He'll break Canelo down and force him to the canvas with a body shot.

It'll be an epic battle. They really need to make it happen.
