Surprised now one talks about the rehydration clause that Mayweather had with Canelo

Canelo and his team were made to sign a nondisclosure treatment, preventing them from letting the public know about the rehydration clause that Mayweather put in place.

Put it into prespective the differences between the Floyd v Canelo & Canelo v Khan fights.

    Floyd vs Canelo

    -Extra Padded Grant Boxing Gloves,
-Drained to 152lbs, when Canelo hadn't fought below 154lbs 4 years prior to their bout.
-Rehydration clause (Probably didn't allow Canelo to hydrate over 160/162lbs)

    Canelo vs Khan

    -Everlast MX Punchers Gloves
-Canelo fights at his stipulated weight of 155lbs
-No Rehydration clause allowing Canelo rehydrate to over 175lbs

To put things into perspective, look at how different Canelo looks in the two weigh ins. That is not just the effect of a 3lb reduction, but also the rehydration clause.

Khan fought a completely different animal to the one Floyd faced. But either way, Floyd would never have got caught with that shot that landed on Khan, which is why Khan is B rated fighter, and Floyd is an ATG.

But chill out with giving Floyd any respect for beating a pre prime, heavily drained, puny Canelo!

Canelo's fight night weight was 160 i believe

against Khan it was around 175 +

also there was no weight draining

Floyd fought a corpse, a zombie from the michael jackson thriller video

people can deny this as much as they want, anyone who respects floyd for that win is absolute dirt

          Wow, holy bull**** Batman.

I don't know how good your maths is but Canelo fought at 151 two years prior to the Mayweather bout and weighed in at 153.5 for his last fight prior to the Mayweather fight.

          Extra padded gloves? Also baseless.

As for the rehydration cllause, that's baseless and he weighed in unofficially at 167 lbs so that ends your "probably 162" theory.

This is basic A side B side ****. Canelo was the B side vs Floyd & he was the A side vs Khan. Happens at all levels of the game from the top of the game with the guys mentioned to the club fight card level with hometown guys & promising prospects.

Even at this point I still don't understand why Oscar put kid Canelo in front of Floyd... at 152 and with a rehydration clause...

                Was the Thread starter serious?

                I thought he was joking.

                  1. There was no rehydration clause... you didn't provide any evidence of this either. That being said making 152 was not easy but that's not the reason he lost the fight.

                  2. The fight was 3 years ago, Canelo coming in at 152 then is not the same as if it he would have done it now. You can say Floyd fought a smaller and less experienced Canelo and thats the truth but at the same time Khan doesn't have the defense or chin to challenge a bigger man.

Your view of things seems abit skewed to give Khan every last excuse (as if he needed help doing that)... it's fans like you that stop me feeling sorry for Khan and his motormouth. He never had a chance and it's pitiful that you thought he did, the one thing you must have when moving up in weight is a good chin. If you're getting dropped and stopped by guys your own size then what chance do you have against a guy bigger than you?

Canelos team actually offered floyd 150 pounds. Floyd was generous enough to give them an extra 2 pounds, so stop making excuses. Golden boy brought the asskicking floyd gave canelo on themselves.
