I think what else failed Amir Khan aside from his chin was his conditioning. I thought he was too heavy coming into this fight. If the strategy was to outbox Canelo by using his legs, then he should have weighed lighter than a 155lb.

I think this is why he begin to tire so quickly as Alvarez was getting closer and catching him more by the fifth round.

Perhaps, if he would have weighed within two or three pounds of the welterweight limit, then he would have had better stamina, fresher legs and lasted longer than six rounds.

people need to realize that there is a reason why canelo refused to let HBO weigh him on fight night. it's because he was easily above 175 and most likely in the low 180s. this is beyond digusting. a guy who says he is small for middleweight???? hahahahahahahahahahhaha. canelo has to be the first in boxing history to act the way he does. disgusting.no defense for this cowardice. NONE.

being low 180s on fight night and cherry picking on smaller men with glass chins is worse than being on steroids. this is cheating at its worst. canelo could have seriously hurt khan badly or maybe even killed him.

Hbo cleverly didn't show the fight night weights for both fighters so canelo wouldn't get embarrased. It was quite clear to anyone watchING that he was well over 170, possibly 175-180

let ur love of this fraud go. he is spitting on boxing. u think other great mexican fighters would do what canelo is doing???????? he will never be great like other mexican legends: barrera, morales, pacquiao, chavez sr., marquez, finito lopez, etc. in fact he isn't even the best mexican boxer today. juan francisco estrada poops all over canelo easily, and he is far more of a man.

canelo is the biggest fraud in this sport and quite possibly history. it doesnt take a genius to see this.

No he wouldn't. 170 is still bigger than GGG is on fight night so he won't do that.

And day before weigh ins are for fighter safety? How is letting somebody gain 20 LBs on any limit safe? Canelo almost killed Khan, but they gave him 24 hours to pack on 20 Lbs. How is that safe? Especially when he's forcing smaller fighters to gain weight to match his minimum? Same day weigh in insures that the fight is at the weight limit. You weigh 155, you fight at 155.

This is the big one. After Mayweather and all the abuse that is going on we need to go back to same day weigh-in. This is dangerous for both fighters. Someone is going to drop ****ing dead in the ring from this ****.

canelo looked noticeably slower than he did fighting guys like Trout and Lara. even his foot speed looked a lot more sluggish and lumbering than usual. he was definitely packing on a lot more weight. definitely above 175 lbs. absolutely outrageous.
