When GGG starts fighting opponents people care about, he'll get some fame too. Yea, the belt situation is fked up and Canelo is wrong for that but the guy has earned every bit of his fame and he's the one carrying the sport into the post-May/Pac era.

It cracks me up when people hype GGG, but ignore that at 35 he is still fighting the same level boxers Canelo was knocking out at age 19.

Hell by the time they were 25 Canelo and Khan had face farrrr better competition than GGG has his entire career. Pitiful.

Maybe because they never watched the ppv event and they were curious on what the result was and what kind of knockout ......I'll reserve my judgement till we see see how many ppv fights it made ....as I said he can be famous as much as he wants to be but he still either fights golovkin or gives up the belt.....I'm not i interested in XFactor or pop idol lol

That Canelo line "I'll fight him right now..." is funny... Right now GGG is above 160... Therefore is Canelo ready to fight GGG "as he is"? I mean no "155 division" required? Funny...

A chinny WW at 155 is better than a win over DL? It's not even better than the Wade win. Especially considering Canelo was getting outboxed

Bigger doesn't automatically mean better, Khan winning when he got stopped just proves the fight wasn't as big of a mismatch as people made it out to be. Most fighters would have been stopped by the punch Canelo landed.

Golovkin fans are the most ******ed and annoying fans in any sport. 100/1 underdog Wade is a better win, GTFO silly ****s.

Sadly, I must agree...I mean, those fans continue to ignore the BLATANT fact that this dude has not left his division since entering the sport. He has never fought outside of 160. It's a shame....What GGG should be saying is "Fine, I'll fight you at 155" especially given the "Special condition" of fighting Floyd Mayweather at 154.

Listen, at the end of the day, we all want to see the biggest fights. But we cannot ignore the fact that Canelo is the biggest star in the sport, the biggest name in the sport, and the biggest draw in the sport now that May n Pac are gone.

I won't go so far as to say that GGG is a bum, or that he is overrated. But I will say that the level of opposition he has faced is questionable. Canelo's win over Cotto squats over anything GGG has done.

If it comes to be, that GGG cannot get the Alvarez fight, he should start name dropping Danny Jacobs, Peter Quilin, Charlos, and Lara. I'm tired of having to do extensive research on the Wades of the world, just to understand who tf this guy is fighting.
