Ward is fighting bums and still hasnt got in the ring with Kovalev. Golovkin would have Martinez, Cotto, Canelo, Chavez Jr, Froch and many others in his record if he didn't inspire the fear that he does.

If Ward had his way he would have fought Golovkin already to go along with him currently gunning for Kovalev.

He doesn't get nearly enough credit.

I'm not going to knock a guy for not moving up a division if he doesn't want to.
Making you're own catchweight division is a whole different kettle of fish.

As for Ward. If this fight with Kovalev comes off then, then great, he get's credit for me. As he's facing the top guy in his division, who is a scary dude.

Natas putting on a clinic. Too bad it usually falls on deaf ears.

But back to original topic.. No. Ward is not looking classy. A few months ago he was the joke of the forum for trying to fight 40th ranked smws as a lhw tuneup, only to get rejected by NSAC.

The only one who has stayed looking classy is Kovalev. He gave props to everyone, fought everyone. The only thing the idiots have on Kov is the racism claims, which were obviously bull****.

What kills me is fans clamor for Mega fights over and over, complain about weak competition and then in the same breath don't wanna see trilogies or rematches. This is why boxing tickets sell, these conversations. This is what makes matchups relevant. The more fervor you have the more outrage at matches not being made, the better for promoters and boxers pockets. They bring GGG and Canelo in the ring together knowing neither will back down and neither makes choices on fights. Good to see so much passion

The risk that he's taking against Kovalev without demanding any particular advantages is just an indicator as to how supremely confident he and his handlers are.
Has the contract been signed? No? So lets not talk about any special requests Ward has until after the contract is signed.

Props to him, he's fighting the best at their weight while Canelo and GGG are b*tching like women. Shout out to Ward.
It's already proven that Ward is not at physical disadvantage against Kovalev http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=709402
