2016 Canelo would BRUTALIZE Mayweather - Easy win

Mayweather gets credit for being smart. He fought Canelo before Canelo became a real threat. Floyd is really awesome with his AVOIDANCE STRATEGY. He avoids fighting people at their peak by using fake retirements (to avoid peak Cotto, Margarito, Mosley only to fight blown up jr. welterweight Hatton when the coast was clear) and impossible negotiations (he avoided Pacquiao for 6 long years).

Now after another fake retirement (which gave him an excuse to fight #30 ranked has-been Andre Berto for his "last" fight) he will shortly be announcing a FAKE comeback against anyone who won't pose a threat (like Golovkin and mature Canelo). He will call it a "tuneup" fight. His low IQ Donald Trump supporting fan base will defend him for his cowardly act.

Fake retirement...fake comeback. He's done it before. He will do it again. Nice way to fake a so-called undefeated record.

    i agree

but if the fight is at 153, he'll be drained again and lose

canelo has improved, he beats any one under 155, including floyd

look at canelo when he fought floyd lol

and look at him when he fought cotto

Canelo just KO'd a chinny WW who was fighting MW for the first time. He won but it's really not a victory to brag about. smh

Khan isn't no Mayweather and Canelo was losing the fight. Canelo would be beating up the ropes again.

I would consider myself a neutral observer. Nobody will brutalize Mayweather - he's far too smart and skilled. But I do agree that Canelo at 155 in 2016 is significantly more dangerous than the Canelo who faced Mayweather a few years ago.

Canelo made adjustments against Khan. It happened in round 5 and that KO in round 6 wasn't a lucky punch. You could see it building up to it. A younger Canelo couldn't make such adjustments. A rematch with Mayweather would be competitive.

Lmao the only way canelo could beat floyd is if floyd becomes a shot fighter (which could happen any day now since hes old)
