He outscored Canelo you dummy. What he needs to do is work on his head movement and keep his guard up. He's no Mayweather, he can't get away with sticking his chin out like that.
Khan needs to retire

We'll see next fight, which will tell us just how closet o his best Khan can still be after a KO like that. If he can still go physically and mentally, why should he retire?
The guy is 29, mandatory for a portion of the ww crown, style-wise gives just about anyone problems and spent 3-4 rounds last night outboxing a guy 2 weight divisions higher than him. There's no reason for him just yet to retire.Comment

Depends what he values in life. He finally got his mega payday that he was begging for years. He can either go home with his money and call it career. If he cares about his legacy and wants to try and rebound from the loss he can get numerous big fights now that he suffered a vicious KO tons of big names will be licking their chops to fight him. He can get another huge payday with Brook. He can go for a rematch with Danny. He can fight a young lion like Spence. He can even try and get the winner or loser of Thurman/Porter. Problem is he will likely be a underdog in all those fights and at high risk of getting put to sleep again.Last edited by bigdunny1; 05-08-2016, 04:32 AM.Comment

Off topic, after seeing Khan prior to KTFO do you think he had a bad day at the office against a out of the cage Algeiri or is Khan just that bad?Comment

laughing at people saying if Khan did this or that he would of won or that if he just fixes his defense and chin ect. That's the story of his entire career. Dude is pushing 30 and been with numerous trainers none of which can fix these problems. He is who he is. A extremely skilled fighter who if god had blessed him with a better chin could be one of the best p4p fighters in the world. Instead he's just very good capable of winning some belts making some big money but whenever he faces a big puncher he can go at any moment.Comment

This sums it up, which makes us say "well, if Khan had done such and such" lollaughing at people saying if Khan did this or that he would of won or that if he just fixes his defense and chin ect. It's difficult to watch Khan fight and not admire his hand speed, footwork and speed, combinations and bravery but it never seems to fit perfectly and his mind seems to switch off.
If you see the reply, Canelo feinted with the left and Khan stuck his arms out in some weird manner .What was that? You see first timers in the gym do that ****. Now we know Khan is a skilled pro and was a skilled am, so rather than a physical or skill based problem, its a mental problem. He switches off.
No amount of trainers will help that sadly.Comment

Sadly i think a KO like that at this point in his career means his career at top level is done. If he goes in there with someone who can time him with a solid punch its curtains. This fight looks like its going to be a hard pill to swallow for Khan, first time ive seen him visibly upset after a loss.
Brook would most likely KO him now, maybe he can get some wins at WW but hes got that chin that wont let him be at the top again, salute to him for taking the challenge, although i thought the comments at the end from him and Virgil came across as very bitter.Comment

It looks like he initially stuck his arms out to prevent Alvarez from getting into range for the right downstairsThis sums it up, which makes us say "well, if Khan had done such and such" lol

Then he tried to counter with a left hook which failed as Alv overhand got their first
Needless to say Amir sucks against counterpunchers and sucks at counterpunching.
This is the 2nd time he has been ko'd by being tricked into attempting a counterComment
