  • What's all the b1tch'n about? Canelo is a star. A star that is pretty much keeping an entire promotional company afloat. Every fight isn't gonna be a superfight. This was essentially a tune-up/stay busy fight. And when you're a star of Canelo's stature, you can't fight the Dominic Wades of the world. You have to manufacture an event. Khan was the best combination of these big enough name to create an event. But safe enough opponent not to risk a loss. This fight served its purpose. Khan's named produced an event. It was an entertaining fight. And it produced a highlight reel finish. Canelo's track record tells us that the next fight will be a real fight. Whether its the real fight we all want is the only question.

    • I took a knee in prayer for Khan!! But he woke up without smelling salts, which made me happy!

I took a knee for PAC too...

      Glad both warriors are alright!

If you thought it was 5-0 heading into the 6th then you are plain ******ed or don't know boxing. After the first 2 rounds Canelo was timing him and hurting khan

            • Can't say I agree with anyone who had Khan up 4-1 and 5-0 (I saw a 4-2 as well, which is impossible). He won the first 2 rounds, and 3 was a tossup. During the 3rd, Alvarez was landing nasty body shots, and Khan was showing that he was feeling them. He was on his bike trying to pick his shots, but Alvarez was cutting the ring well, landing to the body, and landing his jab with pretty good regularity during the 4th and 5th rounds. I had it 3-2 Canelo going into the 6th, but I wouldn't argue with 3-2 Khan.

He won the first 2 rounds, as soon as Canelo adjusted to the speed it was purely a matter of time. He took control of the ring, was landing big to the body and breaking Khan down.

It was about to be 4-2 Canelo, but he sent Khan to orbit instead.
BoxingScene Live scorecards had it 4-1 Khan…..the box nation guys had it 4-1 Khan….I'm sure Lederman and the HBO guys had a similar score. I'm sure your just smatter than everyone of us though. Who's letting emotions cloud their judgment?

Rounds are scored by who landed the more effective punches. I think it was clearly obvious to anyone watching, who isn't biased that the body shots were clearly having more of an effect on Khan, than khan's head shots were having on Canelo.

                  • Tonight just proves that America is the best

                    Floyd> Alvarez> khan

So america > Mexico > euro

                    America is number 1
