Boxing is a f#ckd up sport. Takes years to see these kinds of fights happen. If it's not the fighter it's the promoter, if it's not the promoter, it's the fighter.

I guarantee that this will become another forgotten fantasy fight where one or both gets exposed on their next fights. Ever heard of a guy named Breidis Prescott? That's why fans need to stop this "he's not ready yet" crap and stop fooling themselves into thinking that what's hot today will remain hot tomorrow.

Who wants to bet that if these guys won't be fighting any time soon, they won't be fighting forever?

Are you blind by any chance? Even Stevie Wonder can see Brook is by far the biggest welterweight out there, I doubt he can even make 147 in a year's time.

Assuming Hearns is telling the truth, Spence didn't turn anything down, his team (Al Haymon) did. We don't even know if Spence himself heard the offer, or when the offer took place. A fighter must be confidence, but if he has a good team, they'll know if he's truly ready or not. The fans buy into the hype, a fighter's team should know better.

Kell Brook is a pretty big step up and we already know how Haymon likes to build his fighters. Even if it was a fair offer, meaning the money was right, I don't see the people behind Spence wanting to make the fight happen.

Spence's next fight after the mandatory will be against the LOSER of Thurman/Porter. That's the Haymon way.

Paul Williams fought at Welter, he would have dwarfed him

But i agree, Brook is a pretty big welter but the guys at 154 are even bigger.

Guess what... the guys at 160 are bigger than the ones at 154.

Well, unless you're a certain red headed Mexican.

So you say Spence team denied the fight, but the next day you announce your talking to Jesse Vargas. Hearn was doing damage control.

Boxing is breeding too many chickens nowadays. The media needs to at least do something by unmasking the clowns.

Boxing is 90% fantasy matchups. You can count with your fingers the number of fights that have become realities. Investors will invest $1 billion and they still won't become realities. Fans are feasting on small time fights such as young prime Canelo vs a past prime Cotto. Canelo vs Khan, bleh fights such as Thurman vs mediocre Porter, useless trilogy such as Pacman/Bradley, Lara vs Vanes 2, Crawford vs Postol on PPV, and on and on... then you get this news about Spence turning down Brook's offer.
