Dude has work to do. Good fighter, could be great but his team is handling him like he is in his early 20s. Piss or get off the pot. No Canelo? Fight someone else. His resume is horrible for all the hype.

When somebody in his division has the nuts to fight him. Golovkin shouldn't have to move up or down to prove he's a badass. Everyone in boxing knows he is. The fact that Canelo is even saying this shit proves that he's afraid of him.

Canelo vs. GGG is a much more lucrative fight, no doubt! Canelo is hoping that the money makes GGG concede to a catch-weight. What Canelo vs. Khan demonstrates is that Canelo can get that money without GGG. The numbers show that GGG can't get that money without Canelo! This is why I keep saying that if GGG must concede to a catch-weight IT IS WORTH IT!

No it isn't!!!! His life will not end after this fight. By being weight-drained and losing he will set himself back 5 years, when he was high risk and no reward fighter. There will be no fools, wanting to share the ring with him, if they don't have to. By holding belts, GGG creates future possibilities. Let Canelo concede the belt, if he is not willing to fight for it at the division limit. Eventually he will have to fight GGG anyway. But he will not be calling the shots.

Now, even if GGG wins while being 155, these tricks will not do his body any good in the long run. He should maximize his potential. The money will come. He is not starving.

Are you able to read? Not "title fights" but "titles". Canelo has WBC. GGG has IBF and WBA. 2 > 1. Capiche?

if this statment is true, why is it people on this site, pro trainers, pro boxers, announcers etc that want him to fight better opposition.

I dont get into calling pro fighters scared but Canelo knows GGG is dangerous, they've trained together

the thing is boxing is a business with or without GGG...Canelo is already an established star and more proven than GGG(DLH) and GGG is dangerous, a true middleweight but doesnt have the star power(hopkins)

Hopkins was in the same position and did the smart thing, concede....win...and never have to do the catchweight again.

if no one will fight him he can move up like everyone else. Pryor did it when top lightweights wouldnt fight him. Paul Williams did this when he couldnt get big fights at 147, dozens upon dozens have.....if no one will fight him at 160 how you say, he has no choice but to move up.....or maybe k2 and his die hard fans are satisified watching him ko no names in meaningless "title fights".......Dude didnt even win the friggin belt in the ring.

his resume sucks for all the hype. top 3 p4p? Name one fighter who has done so little to be in that high regard and be promoted like the best when he hasnt even fought the best


look at Ward, Danny Garcia, Khan and Canelo(he has a few more fights) resume. 3/4 have fewer fights, and all are younger, with better resume and only Ward is considered a top 5 p4p guy. the other 3 arent even on most lists maybe Canelo.


Its just a poplularity contest. Dude is so talent but I hate seeing fighters pumped up when its guys out there who have done more and they get little to no shine. He is wasting his career fighting no names.

-Defending it against a 147 pounder who three fights ago as a 140 pounder at 155 lbs

-Claims to be a 154 pounder but cannot make 154 pound limit "healthy"

-Tells other middleweight champion, whom he weighs more than, that they must unify at a catchweight both fo them can barely make

When asked why: "Work your way up" (whatever the **** that means -- since he's giving unranked amir khan a middleweight title shot)


All I've really gotten from this is that canelo has a very low IQ. Even a child would have formulated some plausible lie to explain everything by now.
