If he's not 100% motivated I think he should just retire. I am a fan, but it's worse to see a fighter you like give a half effort than it is to not see them fight at all. Hopefully he finds new motivation.

Matthysse should just be open with his family and say he'd like a different trainer if he gets the opportunity for another title. Maidana went with Garcia fighting some new dumb hulk style but beat Broner in the process and became a 147 champ.

Sounded like he wanted to retire a few months ago so that's not a good sign..but maybe he just thought about it some more when the Postol loss wasn't so fresh in his mind and decided he wanted to continue.

Postol kept clinching all night vs Lucas and I think that frustrated him and made him look like he was more "finished" then he actually is. If he wants to come back I'm definetly interested, he's not an easy fight for anyone.

I think Gomez will be too strong for Herrera. However Mosley is fighting for the WBA interim title and I wouldn't mind seeing Lucas fight the winner. Or if he wants to stay at 140 he could maybe go after the winner of Di Rocco/Burns.

Hope Lucas comes back strong. Maybe Dumb **** ODLH can revamp the cycle. Often times good fighters need a change of direction to get back into sinc. Good to see a talented boxer back in the fray,.....best of luck LM.
