Yeah, he should have won a title against lamont peterson, but for some strange reason they fought at a catchweight of 141 pounds, so no title was in play

yeah but reynoso said he was flattered but couldnt cause he has to give canelo his undivided attention. He should work with Nacho imo unless he just wants to cash out

lucas has said in a few interviews lately that he wants a change in his team. that a cycle has been completed. if he finds new motivation with a new corner a think he can still be competitive, i don't think he is done as some people been saying

I'm a bit surprised to hear it, I think Matthysse lost the plot to his career a little bit after the tough loss to Danny Garcia.

That was the end of a multi-year warpath and I think the few fights after that maybe felt a bit more aimless. I thought he deserved a Garcia rematch but the division has shaken up considerably since that time.

The Ruslan fight was carnage for both guys. Not to discredit Postol but Lucas's heart was MIA the night Postol stopped him. I'm not sure he's still in the game the same way anymore.

I still think he is a compelling competitor and a tough fight for anybody who gets in with him- Crawford to Spence and everyone in between. I think Lucas is entering a gate keeper phase of his career though.

I wouldn't pick him to beat more than a couple of the top 140's at this point, he's taken a lot of damage and been in some real blood and guts fights.
